In STEM lab, Kindergarten practiced using their sense of smell to figure out what smell each cotton ball was. 3rd grade learned about distance and how to measure it by jumping.

Arrr, matey! In the grand celebration of Talk Like a Pirate Day in Captain Flaherty’s STEM Lab, the young buccaneers of the 1st and 2nd grades crafted might cannonball launchers, while the 4th grade crew tackled a pirate-themed escape room. A grand adventure was had by all, with cheers and laughter echoing through the seven seas!!

Last Tuesday we had the honor of Chef Gray, culinary teacher from Bayside High School, come and talk to some of the student about the culinary program and being a chef. Thank you Chef Gray and Bayside for this wonderful opportunity, the students really loved it!
